Degree in Computer Engineering - Mantua branch

Branding project dedicated to the Unimore University and in particular to the Degree in Computer Engineering - Mantua branch.

The Computer Engineering Degree Course in Mantua projects graduates into a future pervaded by information technologies, in which there will be an increasing need for professionals capable of designing and managing smart systems and environments, hyper-connected industries, and a society that will be characterized by smart devices with increasing levels of autonomy that will soon be brought to market.

Despite the growing demand for these skills from the world of work, no degree course explores these issues vertically. Therefore, the Course represents a unicum that will allow the winners to preside over the working environment of the next decades and that will allow companies to adequately face the challenges of innovation posed by an increasingly competitive manufacturing world on a global scale. Given the huge mismatch between job demand and supply, there will be no limit for graduates to apply to any medium to large sized company locally, nationally and internationally. Nor should we forget, for these engineers, the possibility of undertaking a freelance profession or an entrepreneurial activity, also through innovative technological startups.

The degree course, precisely because it is projected into the future, also aspires to create an open environment of equal opportunities. The gender divide is an objective problem in computer engineering degree courses with double damage for girls who lose enormous interesting job opportunities and for companies that are unable to cover their staff.

The study subjects graft onto basic subjects typical of engineering specificities of Computer Engineering with a prevalent orientation towards the design and development of software and IT services, the architectures of computers and IoT devices, cloud systems and platforms, artificial intelligence and machine learning, security by design of systems and industrial products. All these subjects include a substantial percentage of exercises and practical activities in the many laboratory activities in the spaces made available by the Mantua office. The preparation is completed by Information Engineering subjects integrated with those of Industrial Engineering such as industrial design, intelligent manufacturing and industrial management to operate in increasingly automated and flexible modern production contexts.
