The BAM Foundation was established in 2000 by Banca Agricola Mantovana and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
The main objective of the Foundation is to contribute to the progress of the Mantua community in all fields of quality of life, identifying four areas of intervention:

safeguard, recovery and enhancement of the artistic, historical and cultural heritage;
promotion of culture and scientific research;
interventions on projects and works in the social field;
creation of a Cultural Center that has already given life to an Art Gallery with works by Mantuan artists or who worked in Mantua, and to an Exhibition Center which brings together the most important collection of Mantuan and Gonzaga coins from the 12th to the 18th century
